Billy Dawson, 49, and Devin Ramsey, 31, both Quinton residents, have pled guilty to charges of drug trafficking and conspiracy.
Charges against a third suspect, 22-yearold Shakeya Keeton of Atoka, were dismissed due to a lack of jurisdiction based on the Mc-Girt ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court.
The trio were arrested on October 8, 2024, following a traffic stop in Eufaula.
Ramsey was driving the car and Keeton and Dawson were passengers.
Officer Billy Wayne Gentry said a K9 officer detected the scent of narcotics in the vehicle.
The suspects were arrested after drugs and drug paraphernalia were discovered.
‘Ramsey pled guilty at a court appearance on March 6 and was sentenced by District Judge Mike Hogan to 20 years in prison, with all but the first five suspended.
Dawson pled guilty on March 27 and was sentenced by Hogan to 40 years in prison with 30 years suspended. He was given credit for time served, starting from Oct. 8, 2024.
