The theme of our February meeting was Saint Patrick’s Day. The room was full of green shamrocks and gold coins. Kudos to our hostesses, Kit Lund, Mary Nelson and Brenda Barr. It was charming.
Our program was presented by Serena Kleveter, executive director of the Chamber of Commerce. If there is any information about Eufaula that you wish to know, you can find it at the Chamber.
Serena is really promoting the use of the facility and our local businesses. You can get a list of every event taking place in Eufaula for the year, browse a gift shop, find information about local businesses or, just lately, the office has been opened to a game day.
Thank you, Serena, for your dedication.
Thursday’s game days have been organized by Jeannie Russell, who may have missed her calling as a cruise ship activity director, but we have been blessed with her energy. This activity starts at 10 a.m.
The games currently being played are Mahjong, Rummikub, Triominoes, Mexican Train, Skipbo and Uno. You are welcome to bring a game of your choice!
If you are interested in learning more, call Jeanie (386-239-0165) or the Chamber of Commerce (918-689-2791).
Our program on March 25 will be presented by the High School Theater Group. It will present the play “Letters from Home.” Performers will read letters written to and by soldiers at war. I’m sure there will be many tears shed.
If you are interested in joining FLEAS, call our president Kay Rogers (405-202-9874).
