Gabe Scarborough dominates for OKWA State Championship

Checotah eighth grader Gabe Scarborough dominated the heavyweight division at the 49th OKWA State Championships in Oklahoma City. Scarborough displayed great technique and skill in his triumph to win his first state championship.

“Gabe is such a great Youngman. He is so strong and massive for his age. He is a humble kid that doesn’t run away from tough competition and is always willing to learn and do the extra stuff that makes athletes champions. He has a very bright future both in this sport and football,” Checotah head coach Brett Oleson said.
