Free tax preparation service is being offered by the AARP Foundation beginning Feb. 14 and continuing through April 11.

The service will be available on Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eufaula Community Center, 121 High St.

The service can prepare most returns, but there are exceptions, such as farm income or expenses; moving expenses except for active duty military personnel; self-employment if there are employees, losses, expense that exceeds $35,000, depreciation, business use of home, 1099 filing requirements or other complicated factors.
