Insane Man A French-Canadian cabinet maker named Joseph Café has been insane by spells for a year or more. A half a year ago he was sent to the insane asylum and, apparently, recovered.
He was in the habit of buying his wood stock at the planing mill on Mill Street.
At 2 o’clock yesterday he rushed into the building, past all men, went right upstairs and went right straight to a steam-planer, started it in motion and shoved both hands through.
Of course, the result was that his hands were strewn about the shop in inch pieces while the unfortunate man’s blood spouted like water from a faucet.
