Arnold Willard Carey Jr., 27, has been bound over for a preliminary hearing on several charges related to a seconddegree rape allegation.
On Jan. 22, Associate District Judge Brendon Bridges set the preliminary for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Carey, whose residence is listed as New Orleans, is charged with second degree rape, lewd molestation, procuring/ producing/distributing and possessing juvenile pornography; contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstructing an officer.
He was arrested on June 14 in the parking lot of the Eufaula Inn and released on June 20 after posting a $50,000 bond.
In a probable cause affidavit filed by Deputy Sheriff Matthew Youngblood stated that he and Deputy Bailey Degraffenreid were investigating the report of a missing 17-year-old Checotah area juvenile when they found her and the suspect at the motel in Eufaula.
According to Youngblood’s Affidavit, Carey said he met the girl on an online service called Discord and that she told him she was 19.
