Emma Lee Ellison, 24, of Checotah, has been ordered to undergo a mental examination and then to appear in court at 9 a.m., Feb. 18 for a competency hearing.
Special District Judge Brian McLaughlin ordered the examination following a pre-preliminary conference for the defendant on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
Ellison was arrested on Dec. 6, 2024, after allegedly leading lawmen on an erratic chase through Checotah and then resisting arrest.
She is charged with endangering others while eluding/attempting to elude police; running a roadblock; battery/ assault and three counts of battery on a police officer.
Ellison has been held on a $100,000 bond since her arrest.
