Kim Limbaugh, longtime volunteer with the McIntosh County Election Board, will take over as secretary of the office on Feb. 2.
Limbaugh will replace Janelle McKnight, who became secretary on Jan. 1, 2020, with the retirement of Carol Hayes.
Limbaugh and her husband Carl relocated from Edmond to the Eufaula Area in 2017.
“Since relocating, I have had the opportunity to work for the federal government administering testing in our Oklahoma schools for the National Report Card as well as volunteering as a CASA Advocate here in McIntosh County.
“I signed up as a volunteer for the McIntosh County Election Board in 2019 and I am now excited to have accepted the position of Secretary of the McIntosh County Election Board effective Feb. 2, 2025.
“Though we all hate to see Janelle retire, I am committed to the continuance of the secure and fair practices of the election process for our city, county, and state elections.
“I am also looking forward to working with Stephanie McLaughlin, assistant secretary, and all the volunteers associated with the McIntosh Election Board.”
