Whether we are starting or starting over, the beginning of our faith is believing.
This is what Paul was talking about in Colossians 2:6-7, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Rooted means dependence on God. When you start over you accept that God is the source of life and hope. We don’t just need God; we are utterly dependent on Him. You can experience freedom from worry and anxiety when you trust in God and not yourself.
Starting over means that we let go of our history and accept God’s plans.
We get strength from understanding God’s word and applying it to our lives. We also live thankfully because we understand who we are in Christ.
It is never too late to start again. God offers us the opportunity to make a fresh start of things. He does not hold the past against you. God gives us hope and a future. I hope that you will let Him remake you.
We would love to meet you at First Baptist Church. Sunday worship is at 10 a.m. Our website is www.eufaulafbc.org.
