For a delightful change, the meeting in October took place under the pavilion at Nichol’s Point.
Our hostesses, Brenda Bahr, Dorothy Kasiner and Becky Harris, with much help from other members, braved the gusty Oklahoma winds to put out orange tablecloths and hang balloons, along with many other Halloween decorations.
We had a hotdog cookout with yummy side dishes and desserts to round out the meal. No one ever must leave a meeting hungry!
Our entertainment was a one man show, Ralph Cox. If you are a person of a certain age, have an older sibling or listened to the music your parents loved, Ralph is an excellent choice for your enjoyment. Using only a guitar, he had us singing along, toe tapping or doing a dance to songs we may have even forgotten how much we loved. It was a wonderful journey back into the past when we were young!
Our November meeting will be on the 3rd Tuesday because of Thanksgiving. It will be held at the VFW.
