Wells pleads guilty to embezzlement
Former Paradise Fire Chief Justin Lee Wells, 42, Porum, pled guilty on Wednesday, Oct. 23 to embezzlement of public funds. Associate District Judge Brendon Bridges handed Wells a one-year deferred sentence and fined him $500 and court costs.
The charge stemmed from an allegation that the defendant sold a Ford F250 that belonged to the Paradise Fire Department without permission.
