Huge week in football for area teams

Week eight is a huge week in football for our area teams. Checotah will have to travel to Idabel to take on the Warriors who just came off a big 37-27 win over Eufaula. The Wildcats will have to win out the rest of the season to get the No.3 seed in district play. When Checotah gets past Idabel they will host in-county rival Eufaula in week 10.

As for Eufaula, they have an obstacle Friday night as they travel to Dennis Byrd Stadium to take on the undefeated and No. 1 ranked Lincoln Christian Bulldogs who just put 62 points on Checotah.

Both teams are solid and will match up on November 8 for the 109th meeting. Each team will be focused on winning the McIntosh County Championship Cup and claiming the title for the year.
