The recently completed home of Matt and Tonya Davis in the Blue Kenockee Bay area off of Texanna. Texanna Road was heavily damaged by fire on Monday, Oct. 14. Texanna Fire Chief Ronnie Ross estimated the damage at $650,000. He said a shop, barn, motor home, golf carts, motorcycles and other items were destroyed. There were no injuries. The fire was reported at 6:31 p.m. The Texanna, Porum Landing and Central High Fire Departments responded to the alarm and fought the blaze for four hours. Ross said the fire was started by a golf cart.
