McIntosh County and Waterfront Group, the developer of Patriot Pointe located on the north side of Lake Eufaula, will partner in the S 4218 and S 4214 paving project, which will be managed by Mc-Intosh County District 2. The project will be placed out for bid and awarded following the requirements of State Statute Title 61.
The financing of the project will still be provided by Waterfront Group and be placed in a special account to be used for payment. Mc-Intosh County District 2 has prepared the roadbed, replaced the failing tinhorns and will oversee the construction of the +/- 1.8 miles of new paved roadway. We are very grateful and excited about the Patriot Pointe paving project and how it will attract new taxpayers and improve the quality of life for the approximately 300 potential homesites.
Patriot Pointe is a 250 plus lot upscale gated community, located in the Standing Rock area, that will generate hundreds of thousands of dollars for McIntosh County every year in tax dollars. The subdivision’s development was started back in 2021 with Phase 1 and consisted of around 83 lots. Waterfront Group held a sale of the Phase 1 lots one June Saturday, of the same year, and utilized an amazing marketing plan to sell every lot that day. The sale of lots in Phase 2 & 3 followed shortly after Phase 1 was also very successful.
The success of Patriot Pointe has helped McIntosh County’s economic growth and ability to attract new development. In an effort to improve growth and quality of life in our county I will continue to be passionate and committed to the people of District 2 for the rest of my term.
