McIntosh County District 2 Commissioner Monty Grider has been named a finalist for the Government Programs Award presented annually by the Board of Directors of Keep Oklahoma Beautiful.
He and other nominees will be recognized at the 34th Environmental Excellence Celebration (EEC) on Friday, Nov. 22, at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.
Winners in this and other categories will be announced that evening.
Friends and family members of nominees are invited to attend the prestigious fundraising event which raises money for the agency’s administrative budget for the entire fiscal year and allows the organization an opportunity to introduce guests to its programs and the impact they have in communities across the state.
The EEC committee has decided to award every finalist two complimentary tickets to the event. An invitation with the official registration link will arrive soon, providing details on how others can purchase tickets and tables to support the nominee.
