The Eufaula Ironheads (1-5, 3A-3- 0-3) saw another loss this time coming from a determined Holland Hall (3-3) team 20-7 Friday night at Paul Bell Stadium. The Ironheads started the game with a penalty on each of its first two offensive plays then on the third saw running back Peter Lee bust through the Dutchmen defense for a 94yard touchdown to give Eufaula their only score and lead of the game.

Holland Hall then drove downfield to tie the game on a 22-yard pass with 3:13 left in the first quarter. The Dutchmen ran the clock by converting first downs with short runs and long passes. They would extend their lead when Moir busted through the Eufaula defense and out ran the secondary for a 34-yard touchdown run to go into the halftime break up 14-7.

Eufaula came out the second half and went fumble-three and out on their first two possessions. Holland Hall took advantage of the Ironheads’ secondary and connected on a 70yard touchdown pass that took the wind out of the sails of the Ironheads as the Dutchmen went ahead 20-7.

Eufaula appeared to be making a nice drive late in the fourth quarter when Peter Lee took a vicious hit that took him out of the game.

“Peter was taken to McAlester Hospital for concussion protocol,” Eufaula head coach Larry Newton said.

Holland Hall out-gained Eufaula 475 total yards to 305. Eufaula quarterback Ledger Folsom fought against a good secondary going 4/13 for 31 yards. Lee finished with 194 yards.

The Ironhead defense had a few highlights as Maddox Bridges had an interception, Brian Lynn made some great stops and Carson Luna, Simeon Hill, Blayden Neill, Doltyn Lane and Trevor Dodd made an impact defensively.

Eufaula will host the Stigler Panthers Friday night at Paul Bell Stadium next week. Stigler lost to Checotah 31-6 in week six.
