Texan pleads guilty to rape, theft of vehicle

A 27-year-old man from Anna, Texas has pled guilty to second degree rape and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Marco Almanza entered the guilty plea on Sept. 18 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison on the rape charge and two years on probation on the stolen vehicle charge.

Almanza was arrested July 11 at the Checotah Stop after a 14-year-old girl who was riding with him asked for help.

The suspect reportedly was driving a car that belonged to the kidnapped victim’s mother.
