The Eufaula Ironheads’ cross country team competed in the Holdenville Cross Country event on Saturday. The boys’ team placed third overall. Eufaula Freshman Baylor Bohannon placed second with a time of 0:12:16 and Levi Chapman placed 13th with a time of 0:13:29 and Gerald Colenutt placed 30th with a time of 0:15:19.
Kingston won the girls’ event as a team and Callie Coon placed first as an individual with a time of 0:6:10. Reagan Riendeau placed 63rd out of 78 participants with a time of 0:09:20.
In the boys’ event, Seminole won as a team. Tanner Johnson of Konawa placed first with a time of 0:12:15.
“I’m very proud of this team. They competed against some really great athletes and held their own. They are motivated and excited about the season and I couldn’t be more proud,” Eufaula head coach Derek Gray said.
