The Checotah Wildcat football has seen their share of new transfers and new faces coming to the program, now they get one of their own as basketball standout Hudson Pollard takes his skills to football.
Pollard, a (5’11,” 175 lb.) junior, has great speed, hand to eye coordination and is a very intelligent player. One can already see the changing of his body as he participated in Summer Pride (Checotah’s Summer Workout program).
“I believe he’s going to compete hard and contribute to our team. We’re glad to have him. He’s a great kid and willing to work,” Checotah assistant coach Tom Butler said.
Pollard has gained muscle weight and mass and above all strength and more agility.
“I feel like it’s going to help me in both football and basketball. I’m having fun and enjoying my teammates,” Pollard said.
Pollard has been working out with the wide receivers and is listed as such.
Checotah kicks off the 2024 season August 30 at Okmulgee.
