Four people were injured July 28 in a headon collision involving a Lincoln and a GMC Yukon on SH 9 east east of the intersection of Dabbs Road near the fairgrounds.
Eufaula Police Sgt. Kelly Stubblefield said the accident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday when the westbound Lincoln for some unknown reason attempted to turn onto Dabbs Road and collided with the eastbound Yukon.
Stubblefield said there was no braking prior to the accident. The Yukon was traveling at an estimated 50 mph. There is no estimated on the speed of the Lincoln.
The driver of the Yukon was identified as Eric Nunn, 73. His wife, Leigh, 71, was a passenger in the vehicle. The couple lives in Stigler.
The driver of the Lincoln was identified as Shelbie Toquothy, 26, of Tulsa. David French, 26, also of Tulsa, was a passenger.
Toquothy was taken to McAlester Regional Health Center with internal injuries.
French declined treatment at the scene but reportedly was transported to a hospital by family members.
The Nunns were taken to St. John Hospital in Tulsa with non-lifethreatening injuries.
