James Edward Davis

James Edward Davis, 63, of Eufaula, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

James was born on Aug. 12, 1960, in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Merle Lee and Dora Mae (Chotkey) Davis. He attended U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City.

James worked as an FAA shipper in Oklahoma City for Mike Monorney Aeronautical Center for over 30 years.

On Aug. 12, 1989, he married Susan Deidre Wood in Oklahoma City. They were happily married for 34 years.

Survivors include: his wife, Deidre Davis, of the home; son, Raymond Davis, of Checotah; daughter, Deiandra Davis, of Oklahoma City; brother from another mother, Henry Harris; brothers: Mark Lee Davis and wife Carolyn, of Ada; Robert Wade Davis, of Oklahoma City; Bobby Davis and Choya Lee Davis and wife Katie, both of Seminole; sisters: Colleen Toney and husband Micheal; and Leslie June Kaniatobe and husband Charlie, both of Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren: Little Bear and Cree Cree. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Marietta and Deanna Ray.

A funeral service was held at 2 p.m., on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the Kelley Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at Peter Ewing Cemetery in Eufaula under the direction of Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
