Our summer has started out very busy, which is a good thing.
At our April and May business meetings we voted to donate to five McIntosh County area volunteer fire departments, with each receiving $500. We are so happy to help those who help keep us and our property safe. It is such a privilege to donate to local fire departments who rush in to help at a moment’s notice.
We also donate to an average of 14 other organizations.
If you haven’t heard of the Texanna Lady Crafters, I’m not terribly surprised. We were formed as a non-profit in 2011 with the main purpose to promote the general welfare of the McIntosh County community.
We have evolved into a sisterhood that has lots of fun crafting together, supporting one another, and of course, giving back to the community.
We have a Facebook page, but it’s so much better to stop in and see the many creations and know that if you buy something the money goes to McIntosh County for a good cause.
If you need a gift or home décor, TLC is worth checking out.
Our shop is constantly being improved. We now have a Lake Eufaula craft section which we get lots of compliments on.
Since July is almost here the Patriotic section is getting lots of attention, too.
Our OU/OSU gift area is always popular, and our selection is pretty large.
We are in the process of evaluating our shelving, displays and organization.
We appreciate you noticing our efforts to improve and have a larger selection of handcrafted items.
The shop is located at 419098 Texanna Road in Eufaula.
It is easy to find from U.S. Highway 69. Take the Texanna Road exit and go east one mile.
We are located on the south side of the road, right across from Dawn’s Place Cafe.
Our current hours are 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday through Saturday.
We recently turned our old butterfly board into a large Monarch butterfly.
There is a stool in front of the butterfly, and it is a place to take a great photo.
