Q and A with Pastor J.
I have a few ideas that I think can help you…
Step 1 – You should pray. “Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul.” Psalm 143:8b. Seeking out God in prayer helps us understand if God is leading us.
Step 2 – Know God’s Word. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105. “Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8. God has revealed His heart for us in His Word – The Bible. God will never direct us in a way that will contradict his Word.
Step 3 – Trust that God’s Holy Spirit will direct you. “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. “ John 16:13a. As Christians the Holy Spirit is present to guide our lives.
Step 4- Know that God will lead you to live and do righteous things. “He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Psalm 23:3b KJV. God wants the words of your mouth and works of your hands to honor God and draw people to Jesus.
