45th Duvall s Jackpot another success

Checotah hosted the 45th Duvall’s Jackpot this past weekend. The steer-wrestling event brought in competitors from across the nation and beyond. The Duvall family is royalty in the steer-wrestling world. Bill, Roy and Spud Duvall have cemented their place in the sport with numerous championships along with Ote Berry.

“We have a lot of fun here. Were just a big family and have known each other for years. This is not just a big event for the steer-wrestlers but for their families and friends,” Imogene Duvall said.

The Duvall family name was well represented as Riley Duvall competed in the event.

Results for the event will be posted in next weeks newspaper.
