The Dave Melton Family Singers will bring songs of reverent rejoicing and a heartfelt gospel message to Lake Eufaula Christian Church at 11 a.m. Sunday, May 19, during the worship service at 415987 Highway 9, Eufaula.
The public is invited to visit for the special event and—without bringing any food—to share in a potluck after the service. LECC potlucks have a reputation for being elaborate, creative, and very tasty.
Dave Melton, an ordained minister who grew up in a singing family, has made singing his full- time ministry for more than 35 years. Before he and his wife, Krista, were married and she joined the original Melton Singers, she was giving gospel concerts on her own.
Their four children all joined the group at early ages. Kyle is currently enrolled at Summit Theological Seminary studying for the ministry. Kadee is just finishing high school, and the 13-year-old twins, Macy and Gracie, are still being homeschooled, as all were because of the family’s busy traveling schedule.
They will sing many gospel favorites and at least one original inspired when their twins, then 4-years-old, looked at the water in a baptistry and asked, “Where are all the sins?” That question became the title of their song explaining how Jesus washed all the sins away.
A second-generation family singing group based in Columbus, Indiana, the group has been blessed to sing for hundreds of events and to see lives changed and hearts blessed by the good news of Jesus.
LECC is pleased for the opportunity to bring their Christian musical message to the Eufaula community.
