The Friends of the Eufaula Memorial Library would like to double their membership. If they succeed, twice as many area residents will be showing support for the library that continues to provide much more than books and DVDs for a growing community.
You’ll have an opportunity to become part of that supporting group if you stop by the Friends’ table between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. in front of Community Culture Church at Main and High streets on Heritage Day, May 18.
Stop there to pick up an artistic bookmark and talk to a Friends representative who will tell you about the monthly luncheons with speakers and topics you’ll certainly enjoy.
These occur at 11:30 a.m. the third Friday of each month.
If you appreciate the Veterans Memorial brick display at the library’s 1st Street entrance, or the Story-Walk at Eufaula Cove, or the summer reading program that keeps children improving reading skills outside of school—become a Friend!
The Friends donated to all of those special things and will continue to back the library with innovative programs that also need your support.
If you’d like to become a Friend, you can pay your yearly $5 membership on Heritage Day or by emailing member. FEML@gmail.com or calling FEML President, Gail Rose at (918) 770-2440.
