Q and A with Pastor J.
This is what the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:13-14 – “If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.”
Paul makes a clear case that if you remove the resurrection from Christianity, it becomes meaningless. If Jesus died on the cross and stayed in the tomb, then our faith is in vain. But that is not how the story ends.
Jesus rose triumphantly on the third day. He defeated death and walked among us. We can know Christ and the power of His resurrection by placing our faith in Jesus and following Him as our Savior.
Paul said it best – “I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.” – Philippians 3:9-11 We celebrate the resurrected Christ each Sunday at First Baptist Church.
