Major Bass Pro tournament in progress

The Bass Pro Tour Lake Eufaula tournament, featuring some of the biggest names in bass fishing, is being held here now through Sunday, May 5.

It is being hosted by Vision Eufaula.

At 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday there will be a watch party at Peter’s Point-Nichols Point boat ramp.

A trophy ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

While supplies last, there will be free food, hourly prizes and more.

The first 50 kids, 14 and under, will receive a free Shakespeare rod and reel each day.

The national bass fishing tournament first came to the local lake a little more than a year ago when the Tackle Warehouse Invitationals visited in April 2023.
