Margaret Adele Lawson, 60, of Canadian, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024, at her home. Margaret was born on Jan. 18, 1964, in Oxnard, California the daughter of Ralph Edward and Linda Rae (Thornhill) Watson. She attended Hueneme High School in California.
Margaret met the love of her life Earl “David” Lawson while he was stationed at Saint Nicholas Island in California. On Nov. 19, 1991, they married. They moved and settled in Canadian, Oklahoma, where they raised their five children in a loving home. She was a member of the Valley View Full Gospel Church in Fort Gibson.
Survivors include: her son, Daniel Lawson and wife Sherry of Gore; daughters, Racheal Cox and husband Jimmy of Council Hill, Sara Rector and husband Colten of Oktaha and Heather Dismukes and husband Jim of Checotah; her mother Linda Satter of Texanna Road; brother Jerry Everett Watson and wife Jeannie of Texanna Road; sister Georgina LaShawn Combs of Texanna Road; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Eddie Watson, step-dad Joel Satter, son Matthew Lawson and her husband David. A funeral service was held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2024 at the Valley View Full Gospel Church with Don Rhyne officiating. Burial followed at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
