Robert Lee Burns, 81, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at his home. Robert was born on May 6, 1942, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, the son of Woodrow and Sally (Kennedy) Burns. He attended Eufaula Public Schools.
Robert worked in road construction.
On Jan. 1, 1982, Robert married Christine Rosetta Graham.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include: his daughters Kristi Burns Autrey and husband May 6, 1942 – Dec. 1, 2023
Floyd and Tricia Kirkman; son, Sonny Laughlin; brother Eber Burns; three grandchildren, Erica Laughlin, Tristen Corley and Jimmy Lee Corley and three greatgrandchildren, Dayten Pettit, Raddix Corley and Nash Corley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Sally Burns; wife, Christine; one son Robbie Burns; and three brothers.
A funeral service was held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at the Kelley Memorial Chapel with Dr. Roley McIntosh officiating. Pallbearers were Sonny Laughlin, Tristen Corley, Jimmy Corley, Mark Commisky, Audie Laughlin and Edgar Laughlin.
Burial followed at the Lenna Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
