We would like to thank all those who support the library by participating in programs and checking out materials.
This month is Native Heritage Month and we recognize and honor our Native patrons and community elders and leaders.
The library hosted storytelling by Will Hill, an Indigenous and well known storyteller. On Nov. 20 he shared his entertaining and skillful talent with families at the library.
Thereafter, families shared in the Family Connections library program. A simple way to spend quality time coloring and connecting puzzles together.
Family Connections is a library program where families can have individuality, social bonding, and creativity all at the same time. Patrons can come and request a small puzzle to work or a coloring book to use with colored pencils. It’s a time to get away from the hustle and bustle of being busy and be intentional about enjoying moments together.
There is no better time of the year than now to sit back and enjoy the company of family.
The library will be offering a photoshoot for families to take pictures: Dec. 2, 9, 16 from 8:45 a.m. – 11:45 AM. Bring yourself, the family, and all smiles to the Eufaula Memorial Library for a Winter Wonderland backdrop photo op.
The first family photo is free of charge; $1 donations are accepted for each additional print.
Make family moments and memories in time for the holidays.
The Eufaula Youth Performing Arts Club put together a skit on hygiene and performed for the Eufaula Elementary School.
The Art Club members enjoyed the opportunity to entertain and mentor the students at the school. The club writes the skit, practices and presents on various topics.
Staff at the library find it quite delightful to collaborate with these groups in working towards building youth leaders today, tomorrow and for years to come.
The club is looking forward to presenting other life lesson skits in the upcoming months.
The library appreciates the support of the Eufaula Area Arts Council.
