Turkey shoot, taco lunch rescheduled

The 14th annual Curtis Eugene Woodfork Turkey Shoot and the Indian Taco Lunch have been rescheduled for Saturday, Nov. 4.

Rain last weekend forced the delay.

The Turkey Shoot will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Warrior School Ground across from Mt. Olive Star Baptist Church 10 miles west of Checotah on 413665 E. 1080 Rd.

Cost to enter the shoot is $4. Bring your own gun or share. The shells (12, 16 and 20 gauge) are supplied.

Bring your own lawn chairs.

The event is sponsored by the Warrior School Restoration Organization.

The Indian Taco Lunch will be from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Dine in or carry out. Cost of the meal is a $12 donation.

All proceeds go to the Warrior School Restoration Organization.
