Broken Bow swept the Checotah Lady Wildcats 8-1 in the early game and 13-3 in game two of the doubleheader on Tuesday. In game one Broken Bow took a 2-1 lead in the third inning and came alive at the plate in the fourth inning scoring three runs to take a 5-1 lead.

Broken Bow scored another run in the sixth and sealed the win with two more runs in the seventh inning.

Shaelynn Casey took the loss for the Wildcats from the pitcher’s circle. She allowed nine hits and eight runs over seven innings, striking out four. Hailey Prince, Kami Hamm, Addie Britt and Layana Vandiver each collected a hit in the game.

Broken Bow totaled nine hits.

In game two Checotah started out strong but failed to score in the later innings as Broken Bow won 13-3. Broken Bow started out with a 1-0 lead but Checotah scored three runs in the second inning to take a 3-1 lead. The Bulldogs did not waver as they scored six runs in the second and added four runs in the third and two in the fourth to win the game.

Hailey Prince started the game for Checotah going three innings, allowing 11 runs on eight hits and striking out two. Casey relieved Prince from the bullpen.

Layna Vandiver led Checotah going 2-for-2 with 3 RBIs.
