Former Eufaula Ironheads quarterback Luke Adcock finished off his high school career by throwing for a touchdown in the All-State game Friday night at OBU stadium in Shawnee. Adcock had a great game throwing darts and moving the chains for the Blue team but came up short in a 15-14 loss.
“It felt great throwing the football. It was an honor to play with those guys and I couldn’t be happier than I am now,” Luke Adcock said.
Adcock already has committed to play baseball for Connors State College but has made his mark on the gridiron for Eufaula. Luke Adcock will go down in the history books as the most successful quarterback in Ironhead history. Adcock surpassed Ethan Sharp who had 5,785 total passing yards. Adcock finished his high school career with 6,038 yards passing with 67 touchdowns, only 15 interceptions and was 350 completions out of 579 attempts for a 60% completion rate. Adcock also had 1,977 yards rushing with 33 touchdowns for a grand total of 8,015 total yards.
Adcock has been a part of three consecutive district championships and three playoff appearances including a semi-final appearance in 2021. Eufaula has a record of 32 wins and seven losses with Adcock at quarterback.
