MUSKOGEE – Donald Ray Cowan, 61, of Eufaula, has been sentenced to 121 months imprisonment for Distribution of Methamphetamine, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The charges arose from an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
On Feb. 18, 2022, Cowan pleaded guilty to one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine. At the plea hearing, Cowan admitted to knowingly distributing more than 50 grams of actual methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, on Dec. 10, 2022.
The Honorable Judge Timothy D. De-Guisti, Chief Judge in the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, sitting by appointment, presided over the sentencing in Oklahoma City. Cowan will remain in custody pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve a non-paroleable sentence of incarceration.
