Romans 1:16, the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Not “a” power but “the,” as in the one the only, power of God unto salvation, per the inspired Apostle Paul. The inspired Peter tells us that we have been given “all things that pertain unto life and Godliness through the knowledge of him who hath called us.” Further he tells us in that same reading, that by these “all things” we have access to “great and precious promises” by which we might be partakers of the divine nature. 2 Peter 1:3-4.
