Checotah celebrates 1972-73 basketball teams

Checotah sports fans had a big surprise Friday evening as Checotah Public Schools (CPS) celebrated the anniversary of the 1972-73 Wildcat basketball teams. The Lady Wildcats basketball team was led by coach Truman Dixion and wife Colleen. The team went 25-2 going into district playoffs. The team consisted of Sue Stidham, Jackie Proctor, Robin Childers, Charlotte Dan, Gladys Greenleaf, Betsey Chenault, Mary Vandiver, Kathy Stidham, Debbie Scott, Brenda Voss, Sherry Humphrey, Vickie Frost and Melissa Shoemake.
