He left this life peacefully, surrounded by family.
He was a loving husband, grandfather and brother.
He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Ruth Ann Seely, father Ralph Johnson, and his mother Lela (Mitchell) Underwood, brothers Albert (Pete) Pollard and Gary Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janiece

Genevie (Ginger) Spirlock Johnson, stepchildren Sarah Miller and husband James of Tecumseh, Okla., April Minor of Enterprise, Okla., Nubbin Lanham and wife Michelle of Shawnee, Okla., Bodie Lanham and wife Maise of Stidham.
Chuck had 12 stepgrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Survivors also include brothers, Johnny Pollard of Stidham, Okla., Joe Johnson and wife Beverly, of Norman, Okla.; sisters, Loda Joy Johnson of Eufaula, Okla., Barbara (Bobby) Hise and husband Randy of Oklahoma City; halfsister’s, Sandy Walker and Sara Blade, state of Washington.
He was the first son of the Johnson family. Early in life he loved growing up with his brothers and sisters and many cousins, enjoying the country life.
He also loved Country Music, playing songs on his guitar of George Jones and dancing.
Later in life Chuck and his beautiful wife, Ginger, spent many happy years together. They enjoyed annual trips traveling to Colorado and visiting his namesake Uncle Chuck Johnson. They both also enjoyed trips to Branson, Missouri.
Chuck loved gardening, fishing and making his famous jams that he loved to share with all.
Chuck served faithfully as a Church of Christ minster to many congregations: including Red Oak, McAlester, Quinton, Stidham and Canadian, Oklahoma, Rangely, Colorado and Aflin, Arkansas; he was always ready to preach or lead a singing whenever called upon.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at the Eufaula Church of Christ with Bill Green officiating.
Services are under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
