Junior Ward Wallace passed away surrounded by family and love in his home Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, at the age of 92. He was born in Lovelle, Mo., on Feb. 28, 1930, to George and Lula (Simmons) Wallace.
Junior and Maggie were married in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Aug. 5, 1953. They were married for 69 years of endless love.
Junior worked in the oilfields as a truck driver, welder and realtor.
He served his church for several decades with devotion. He took joy in serving as a missionary alongside his wife in the later years.
Junior enjoyed his breakfast, studying his bible and being with his family.
He served in the military and was honorably discharged during the Korean Conflict.
Junior is survived by his wife; son, Robert Wallace and wife Lori of Arizona; daughter, Roberta Wallace of Enterprise; sisters-in-law, Janelle of Canada and Nancy of California; grandchildren, Cheyenne Wallace, Lisa Sexton and husband Lyle, Katie Guess, Robert Wallace Jr., Gunnar Wallace and Pam May; great-grandchildren, Sunnye Stacy, Garett Sexton and wife Jasmine, Ally Jo Guess, Madisson May and Kendall May; great-great-grandchild Stoney Sexton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son David, brothers, Jewel, Wendell, Kenneth and George “Bud”; and sisters, Irene, Shelby and Carolyn.
A funeral service was held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Burial followed at the Bower Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
