I recently read about a fundraiser to raise the funds for multiple murals in Eufaula. My question is why can’t the community of Eufaula also embrace the history of Eufaula. That history would include the Selmon brothers and J.C. Watts. Those mentioned put Eufaula on the map. In fact, they are so important to the University of Oklahoma that this past year OU announced that there would be a statue of the Selmon brothers. Why couldn’t their hometown do the same?
