By a show of hands, who here knows what their future has in store for them? Who here knows exactly where life will lead them? Nobody? That’s alright because I don’t know either …While writing this speech, I did what every high school valedictorian does, and I looked up dozens of examples online. For the most part, I continued to run into generic, run-of-the-mill speeches all titled “Best Valedictorian Speech Ever.” All of which discussed how their class was the best class ever … and how they were about to step out and conquer the world … but they never spoke about anything that separated their class from all the others.
