The Southeastern Oklahoma Association of Realtors (SOAR) presented a $10,000 check to the Youth Emergency Services Executive Director Greg Contreras on Monday.
Members of SOAR, along with affiliate members and other generous people in the community, donated gifts to give away as bingo prizes.
The sixth Annual Spaghetti Dinner & Bingo was held Oct. 25, 2019.
Andy Stinebrickner prepared a traditional Italian meal for over 200 people.
VFW Post 8798 continues to graciously support the fund raising.
Connie Campbell and Bill Chaney, both of Campbell Due Real Estate, are Committee Chairs for this annual event.
Under normal circumstances the event is scheduled in July, but due to fire in August, 2019 and the ensuing renovation the even was rescheduled in October.
“We were afraid rescheduling would hurt our event, but our members and affiliates were determined not to let the youth shelter down,” Campbell said.
SOAR membership covers a large geographic area, include major portions of McIntosh, Pitts-burg and Haskell counties.
This event helps youth throughout this area through the services provided by Youth Emergency Services.
“We are looking forward to our seventh Annual Spaghetti and Bingo this summer, on July 18,” Campbell said.
